Premier Rehabilitation has been working hard to ensure patient and staff safety.
We officially reopened our clinics on May 4th, 2020. That date also marked Premier Rehabilitation’s five-year anniversary. We are extremely appreciative of all the support from patients, staff, family, friends, physicians, and the community over the years. Thank you all so much! We wanted to update everyone since our reopening.
The health and safety of our patients, staff, and families remain Premier Rehabilitation’s overriding priority. We could have never imagined that our journey with Premier Rehabilitation would entail this COVID-19 pandemic. As healthcare providers, we could have remained open this entire time. However, as outpatient physical therapy providers, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close our clinics during an extremely critical time of the pandemic. We remained in contact with our patients and provided telehealth services for those who were interested.
During our temporary closure, we worked extremely hard to prepare our clinics and update our policies to ensure best practices with all of the new and fluid COVID-19 guidelines. We continue to follow the guidance of local, state, and federal agencies. We will continue to promote and implement infection control practices, including the following:
*Please take your temperature at home before coming to our clinics. If you have a temperature of 100.4 degrees F or higher, please call the clinic to cancel your appointment. You will also have your temperature taken at our clinics with our infrared thermometers.
*If you are sick or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (including fever, cough, or shortness of breath), please call to cancel your appointment.
*We ask and encourage everyone to wear a mask from home. Everyone who enters the clinics must wear a mask. This is for the safety and health of everyone who enters the clinics. If you do not have a mask, please see a staff member upon entering
*We have made changes with our check-in process. You will be asked to wait in your car until 5 minutes prior to your appointment time. If you are a new patient, please come into the clinic 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
*Our waiting rooms are currently empty. With the new check-in process, patients are directed to a treatment area in the clinics immediately after the screening process. This helps to minimize exposure to others and maximize social distancing.
*You will see staff with their personal protective equipment (PPE).
*The layout of the equipment in our clinics has changed. All of our physical therapists have designated treatment areas where they treat their patients. These areas are numbered and spaced throughout the clinics in order to maintain social distancing to the maximum extent possible.
*We will continue with the COVID-19 screening process for anyone who enters our clinics.
*We will continue with visitor restrictions, limiting the number of people in our clinics. Visitors will not be permitted to accompany adult patients to their appointment unless special assistance is required. Pediatric patients may be accompanied by one adult caregiver.
*We will continue to encourage frequent and thorough handwashing.
*We will continue with increased cleaning and disinfecting of our clinics.
Also, upon returning to work, we held an extensive in-service to update every staff member about our new policies and procedures. We have a tremendous team who implemented all of the new changes immediately upon our reopening!
